Why you'll love it
An editor's take
A full-format flagship — not the reduced-inventory small format some suburban locations run. Upper level dedicates real space to prepared foods, seating, and the World Bar (a walk-up wine-and-beer bar). Butcher cuts to order, seafood runs whole fish and shellfish, and the cheese counter carries a serious rotating specialty selection. The correct Whole Foods for entertaining, gift baskets, and a shop that becomes a lunch.

What you'll experience
The visit, in detail
Two levels with the current Whole Foods refresh. Ground floor: produce, grocery, dairy, checkout. Upper level: prepared foods, seating, World Bar, and specialty tenants (Mediterranean counter, olive-and-antipasto bar, daily hot bar).
Prepared-foods hall is the standout — hot bar, cold bar, salad bar, pizza station, sushi counter, rotating specialty cases. Seating indoor and (in season) outdoor. A legitimate lunch option.
World Bar (upper level) is a walk-up wine-and-beer bar with local and imported taps and a wine-by-the-glass program rotating weekly. Drink while you shop, or sit for an hour after. A working Bellevue neighborhood third-place for the 116th zone.
Butcher, seafood, and cheese counters run more inventory than most Whole Foods and are staffed by legitimately experienced teams.
Best time
