Why you'll love it
An editor's take
A neighborhood barbershop that has been cutting Bellevue hair since 1959 — three generations of walk-in regulars, honest prices, and a chair conversation you can actually enjoy.
Highlights
What makes it special
- Family-owned Bellevue barbershop operating continuously since 1959
- Walk-ins welcome seven days a week — no appointments needed
- Classic menu: tapers, fades, scissor cuts, flat-tops, and straight-razor neck shaves
- Cash-friendly, kid-friendly, and famously fast on a weekday morning
What you'll experience
The visit, in detail
Step in off NE 20th and the room reads instantly familiar: vinyl chairs, framed sports pages, and the low hum of clippers. No online booking, no membership, no upsell. You take a number, flip through a magazine, and in ten or fifteen minutes one of the barbers waves you over. Cuts are classic — tapers, fades, flat-tops, scissor work, straight-razor neck finish — and the barbers are the kind who remember how you like it the second time you come in. Kids get their first haircut here. Retirees get their weekly trim. The price stays reasonable, cash still works, and you leave looking sharper than the wait suggested.

- Cash tip appreciated (15–20%)

Practical
Know before you go
Walk-ins only — the shop does not take appointments, so mid-morning weekdays are the shortest waits and Saturday around lunchtime is the longest. Parking is free in the strip-mall lot out front. Cash is easiest; cards accepted. Bring a picture if you want something specific — the barbers appreciate a reference over a vague description.
