The visit, in detail
You step in from 108th Avenue NE into a room that is fully committed to occasion: dark wood, brass, low light, tuxedoed servers moving with purpose. The host walks you past the bar to the dining room. Order a martini or a Manhattan at the table while you read the wine list; the sommelier is comfortable with both Washington and Napa cabernet and can pair by the glass. Order a tableside caesar for the table — the salad is built in front of you by a server who has practiced the routine — then a bone-in ribeye or a filet from the prime menu, sides family-style, and a Washington cabernet or a Napa reserve. The kitchen is unhurried; the service is unhurried; the room encourages you to stretch the meal to two and a half hours. Close with the tableside bananas foster — flamed at your table, served warm over vanilla ice cream, and worth the wait. After the check, walk to the bar for a nightcap or across the street toward Bellevue Downtown Park for the evening.
