Five records sit outside that core: three in Eastgate near I-90, one in east Bellevue off 139th Ave SE, and one in Wilburton, east of I-405. Three of the five are suite or extended-stay properties, which is the practical reason to look here: longer bookings and kitchens rather than proximity to the retail core. The Eastgate records sit closest to the I-90 corridor and Factoria, the Wilburton record is nearest Bellevue Botanical Garden, and the 139th Ave SE record sits in east Bellevue. None of them is in the Downtown light-rail core.

Meydenbauer Center is Bellevue's convention and performing arts venue on NE 6th St. The one record with stored direct access is Hyatt Regency Bellevue, via covered access from Bellevue Place. Downtown is Bellevue's strongest concentration for a light-rail-oriented stay: the 2 Line's Bellevue Downtown Station sits in the same core as the nine Downtown records, the retail center and our restaurant coverage. That is a statement about the area, not about any individual property — we have not verified station access, walking routes or shuttle service for any hotel, so check the address and ask the property directly. The five records outside the core are further from a station; how you reach them depends on your itinerary.
Bellevue or Seattle: Where should you stay?
It comes down to which side of Lake Washington your plans are on. Bellevue suits Eastside itineraries — the Downtown retail core, Meydenbauer Center, east-side parks and gardens, or Eastside business — and puts you on the 2 Line. Seattle makes more sense when the trip centers on the Seattle waterfront and downtown core and you'd rather not cross the lake daily. Neither is the better answer in general.
