About
About Highland Community Center Skate Park
Highland Community Center Skate Park is Bellevue's dedicated outdoor concrete skatepark, a compact street-and-transition plaza set beside the Highland Community Center. Built for beginners and intermediate riders, it draws a friendly local scene of skateboarders, scooter kids, and BMX riders, and it's the go-to spot for families whose kids are moving beyond driveway skateboarding.
Highlights

- Beginner-friendly transitions, ledges, and rails
- Compact layout keeps young skaters visible from the benches

- Free to use, no reservation or fees
What you'll experience
The visit, in detail
Expect a well-maintained concrete park with a mix of ledges, rails, small quarter pipes, and a mellow bowl-like transition — enough variety to progress without the intimidation factor of a bigger regional park. On weekday afternoons after school, the park hums with regulars; weekend mornings are quieter and ideal for first-timers still figuring out their balance.

Practical
Know before you go
Helmets are required for riders under 17 and strongly recommended for everyone else. The concrete surface can be slick after rain — give it an hour to dry. Bring water; the community center hosts programs and its restrooms may be locked outside those hours. No lights, so plan to leave by dusk in winter.
