Fares

Adult $3, youth 18 and under ride free, senior and disabled $1 with a Regional Reduced Fare Permit, ORCA LIFT $1.

The line

The 2 Line runs Lynnwood City Center — Downtown Redmond. Cross-lake 2 Line service between Seattle and the Eastside began on 28 March 2026. Overlake Village and Redmond Technology are the next stops east of BelRed.

Access

Every station has elevator access to step-free platforms, and boarding is level with the train floor. South Bellevue is the station with a structured park-and-ride garage.

How many light rail stations are in Bellevue?

Six 2 Line stations sit inside Bellevue: South Bellevue, East Main, Bellevue Downtown, Wilburton, Spring District, and BelRed. Overlake Village and Redmond Technology are the next stops east, in Redmond.

What does it cost to ride?

Sound Transit charges an adult fare of $3. Riders 18 and under ride free, seniors and disabled riders pay $1 with a Regional Reduced Fare Permit, and ORCA LIFT holders pay $1. Check soundtransit.org for the current fare table before you travel.

Which station should I use for Bellevue Square and downtown?

Bellevue Downtown station. It sits beside Bellevue Transit Center and is a level walk to Downtown Park, Bellevue Square, and most of the city's restaurants.

Where can I park and ride?

South Bellevue has the largest structured park-and-ride garage of the Bellevue stations. The other five are designed as walk-up, bus-transfer, and drop-off stations.

Can I take a bike or a dog on the train?

Bikes are allowed on board, and Wilburton connects directly to the Eastrail regional trail. Small pets in carriers are permitted; service animals are always welcome.

Is the light rail accessible?

Yes. Every Link station has elevator access to step-free platforms, and boarding is level with the train floor.

How does BellevueExplorer decide what is 'walkable' from a station?

We measure the straight-line distance from the platform to each published place, add a 25 percent allowance for the street grid, and convert it at a normal walking pace. Times are estimates for planning, not turn-by-turn directions.
