Why you'll love it

An editor's take

One of the largest and strongest markets in King County — a Washington State Farmers Market Association member that filters for actual growers rather than resellers. In peak season: Skagit-Valley berries, Yakima stone fruit, Puget Sound seafood, and Eastside-grown produce within a two-block campus. The correct Thursday afternoon habit for anyone cooking seriously.

Highlights

What makes it special

  • 60+ Washington-farm vendors at peak
  • Thursdays May–October, 3–7 p.m.
  • SNAP/EBT with Fresh Bucks dollar-match
  • Weekly Power of Produce kids' program
  • Live music and rotating chef demos
  • Prepared-food row for dinner
  • Winter market on select dates

What you'll experience

The visit, in detail

Sets up on the First Presbyterian Church campus at Bellevue Way NE and NE 17th, using outdoor plaza and covered walkways so weather doesn't cancel. Typically 3:00–7:00 p.m. Thursdays mid-May through early October, with a smaller winter market on select dates November–April.

60+ vendors at peak: produce (stone fruit, berries, greens, tomatoes, mushrooms), protein (grass-fed beef, pasture pork, wild seafood, cured meats), bakery, dairy, and prepared foods (dumplings, tamales, wood-fired pizza, Ethiopian, Indian). The prepared-food row functions as a legitimate dinner option.

Music programming most weeks; cooking demo tent with Eastside chefs on rotation. Kids' Power of Produce (POP) Club distributes tokens for children to spend on fruits and vegetables — free, weekly.
