About Bellevue Strawberry Festival

The Bellevue Strawberry Festival is the city's longest-running summer tradition, a two-day, free-to-enter celebration held each June at Crossroads Park. Rooted in the Eastside's strawberry-farming past, it now draws tens of thousands of families for shortcake, live music, carnival rides, a pancake breakfast, a fun run, and a Sunday parade through Crossroads.

Highlights

What makes it special

  • Free admission — one of the region's largest free family festivals
  • Signature strawberry shortcake served fresh all weekend
  • Kiddie carnival rides scaled for younger children
  • Sunday parade with school bands, floats, and classic cars
  • Live music, dance, and cultural performances across multiple stages

What you'll experience

The visit, in detail

Arrive to the smell of pancakes and fresh strawberries: the pancake breakfast opens things Saturday morning, followed by a 5K fun run, a carnival midway with kiddie rides, three stages of music and dance from local groups, more than a hundred food and craft booths, and the beloved strawberry shortcake booth where volunteers hand-assemble each one. Sunday morning's parade rolls down 156th Ave NE with school bands, classic cars, and community floats.

Practical

Know before you go

The festival is free but rides, food, and shortcake are cash- or card-per-item; bring both. Parking near Crossroads fills by mid-morning — use the free shuttle from designated lots or plan to walk. Strollers and wagons are welcome; pets are discouraged given the crowds and heat. Check the current year's schedule online, as run and parade times shift slightly year to year.
