About Lake Hills Greenbelt
Lake Hills Greenbelt is a 150-acre living corridor stretching between Larsen and Phantom lakes — a mosaic of wetlands, blueberry farms, forest, and open meadow crossed by a paved multi-use trail. It's Bellevue's most productive urban birding site, a working blueberry U-pick every summer, and one of the flattest, most stroller-friendly nature walks in the city.

What you'll experience
The visit, in detail
The paved 2.5-mile trail follows the old lakebed floor between two remnant lakes, passing boardwalks over cattail marsh, working farmland, and the Lake Hills Greenbelt Ranger Station where kids can borrow discovery packs. Great blue herons, red-winged blackbirds, and hooded mergansers are near-guarantees. In July and August, the historic Larsen Lake Blueberry Farm opens for U-pick right off the trail.

Know before you go
The best trailheads are Larsen Lake (156th Ave SE) and Phantom Lake (Lake Hills Blvd). Both have free lots that fill on summer weekends. Blueberry season is roughly July 4 through mid-August — check the farm's daily posts before driving over, and bring cash or card. Leashed dogs welcome. Bring binoculars for the boardwalk sections.
