Somerset: A Local's Guide
The hilltop neighborhood with Bellevue's best skyline view, a quiet park system, and just enough nearby food to make an evening of it.

In this guide
Somerset is one of Bellevue's quieter residential neighborhoods, on a hilltop above I-90. It's mostly homes, but it has the best free skyline view in the city.
The viewpoint
The Somerset Viewpoint off SE 60th has a clear line to downtown Seattle, the Space Needle, and on clear days, the Olympics. Best at sunset.
The trails
The neighborhood connects into Coal Creek Park for a real forest hike — 5 miles, waterfalls, no crowds.
Food nearby
Drive 6 minutes down to Factoria for groceries or to the southeast Bellevue strip on Coal Creek Parkway for Pagliacci, Coal Creek Family Restaurant, and a surprisingly good ramen spot.
Best for
- Sunset photo stop.
- Quiet morning hike.
- Residential walk with a coffee.
Somerset doesn't have a "scene." That's the appeal.
